Karen Kviltu Lidal (f.1979, Akershus)
Lidal bor og jobber i Oslo og Berlin. Hun har master fra KHIO, og har hatt en rekke utstillinger i inn- og utland. Lidals arbeid er innkjøpt av Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum i Trondheim og KODE i Bergen. Kunstneren arbeider med vev, performance, installasjon og tegning, med tekstil som viktigste referansepunkt. I arbeidet undersøker hun hvordan arkitektur relaterer seg til kroppen, til kjønn, til individet og det sosiale.

The artist lives and works in Oslo and Berlin. She holds a masters degree (2008) from Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She is currently planning a solo exhibition at Kunstnerforbundet in Oslo (Aug. 2022). Previous solo exhibitions include Bauen Wohnen Denken at Tegnerforbundet in Oslo, The Body and the Map at Moss kunstforening and Soft City Pieces at Window Box/Galleri Pushwagner in Oslo. She has participated in group shows at (among others) Sørlandets kunstmuseum in Kristiansand, Alfa Gallery in Miami, Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo, Akershus kunstsenter in Lillestrøm, SOFT galleri in Oslo and the National Museum in Oslo. Lidal’s works are included in the collections of the National Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Trondheim and KODE Art Museums in Bergen.
