Ayan Abdi (b. 1998) is a Somali-Norwegian photographer and filmmaker based in Oslo, whose practice is rooted in belonging, memory, and cultural connection. Her caleidoscopic view of the world is shaped by nostalgia and the constant adaptation that is required in migratory life. Centering her work on the African diaspora, she connects with people in real life and invites them to participate in the creation of her images.

Abdi takes part in the June Exhibition 2026, titled Shifting Coordinates.
