Join us for the launch of «Det Naturlige» by Jannik Abel – a powerful exploration of environmental grief and our connection to nature. The evening features a conversation between artistic director of Masahat, Rana Issa and artists Jannik Abel and Ina Hagen, who will present their work on environmental devastation and the use of zines as a medium for artistic expression. Ina's reflections on climate grief resulted in a show as well as a zine in 2023 at Kunstnerforbundet, following a residency at Atelier Kunstnerforbundet. The conversation will explore how to work through environmental devastation and return back to nature.

Jannik Abel's «Det Naturlige» is the first of six fanzines that will be launching throughout the year as part of the project «På feil sted».

The project ‘På Feil Sted’ [in the wrong place] is part of Masahat’s ongoing interrogation of the limits and possibilities of art in public space. Through a series of zines, Masahat initiates a conversation with young people about the state of the world and the function of art in processes of social and political change.
