Eline Mugaas (b. 1969) is an artist based in Oslo. She primarily works with photography, collage, and sculpture. Mugaas has exhibited various galleries and museums, including the Astrup Fearnley Museum, the National Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Malmö Konsthall, Kunstnernes Hus, and Kunsthalle Zürich, among others. The artist has also held numerous solo exhibitions at Galleri Riis in Oslo. Mugaas has published multiple fanzines and artist books, such as the fanzine ALBUM (since 2008) made in collaboration with colleague Elise Storsveen. In 2013, Mugaas and Storsveen curated the exhibition Hold stenhårdt fast på greia di - Kunst og kvinnekamp 1968-1989 (Hold adamantly on to your thing - Art and women's struggle 1968-1989) at Kunsthall Oslo. For a decade, Mugaas has worked closely with visual artist Siri Aurdal (b. 1937). The project has included several exhibitions, the publication of the book Siri Aurdal by Eline Mugaas (Primary Information, NYC, 2016), and a reconstruction of Aurdal's sculpture Bølgelengder. The sculpture was exhibited at Kunstnernes Hus in 2016 and the Venice Biennale in 2017, before it was given a permanent location in the new National Museum in 2022. Eline Mugaas received the Lorck Schives Art Prize 2019.
The exhibition has received funding from Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond and Kulturrådet.
